The Christian Individual
A while back I wrote a paper for Fr. Heckman’s Liturgy and Sacraments class. It explores the Christian’s place as individual, member of the Church, and creature of God. These dimensions affect our end, our knowledge of it, and our journey there. I tried to engage some thinkers who have contributed to my own understanding of the world, such as Kierkegaard, Sartre, and Kirilov. My representatives for Christianity are St. Dionysius, St. Maximus, and St. Nicholas Cabasilas. None of this is very rigorous, but writing it helped me clarify where I’ve come in the last ten years or so. Here is my paper: The Christian Individual.
